Shower enclosures with black profiles and other profile colours

Black profiles are among the most striking elements of a modern bathroom. They draw clear lines, making the glass appear like a window, and the shower becomes the focal point of the room. To look good, they need to be coordinated with the tiles and other metal elements, and a bit more maintenance should be expected.

What to combine black profiles with

In a smaller bathroom, it's enough for one element to be prominent. If the shower has a black frame, the other lines don't need to be equally contrasting – otherwise, a small space may feel fragmented. Maintenance of black profiles

On matte black, limescale and dried droplets are more visible than on chrome. After showering, use a squeegee to remove water from the glass and profiles. Clean the profiles only with a soft cloth and soapy water or a cleaner for coloured surfaces. Abrasive sponges, powders, and acidic limescale removers can damage the matte surface or leave shiny spots. With hard water, it is worth having glass with a protective treatment.
