Bathroom transformations
Transformations of bathrooms: before and after
Premena kúpeľne najlepšie ukáže, čo sa dá z rovnakého priestoru vyťažiť: rovnaký rozmer, iná dispozícia a nové materiály. Na tejto stránke nájdete najčastejšie premeny kúpeliek – sprchu namiesto vane, závesné WC či veľký formát obkladov – a postup, ako pripraviť vlastnú premenu.

When planning a new bathroom, most people ask the same question: can something beautiful be created from my bathroom? The best answer is transformation – comparing the original state with the new bathroom of the same dimensions. You will see what helped the most: a different layout, a shower instead of a bathtub, a wall-hung toilet, large format tiles, or better lighting.
Most common bathroom transformations
- Shower instead of bathtub. The most common change in a small bathroom – a walk-in shower or shower cubicle frees up space for a washing machine or a larger cabinet. You can find the comparison in the article Shower cubicle or bathtub.
- Brick bathroom instead of a chipboard core. New partitions, plumbing, and tiling in a panel building, described on the page Bathroom in a panel building.
- Wall-hung toilet instead of a floor-standing one. A pre-wall system conceals the cistern and provides an additional shelf, more in the article Wall-hung or combined toilet.
- Large format instead of small tiles. Fewer joints, calmer surfaces, and an optically larger bathroom, more in the article Large format tiles for bathrooms.
- Minor adjustments without demolition. New tap, furniture, mirror, or lighting, see the article Bathroom renovation without demolition.
How to prepare your own transformation
- Measure your bathroom and note the position of doors, windows, drains, and risers.
- Take a photo of the original state from the corner by the door so that the entire room is visible. A before photo will also be useful for comparison with the finished bathroom.
- Design your bathroom for free in 3D bathroom planner, or order a custom visualisation – it's free with a purchase, and we will deduct a deposit of €70 from the purchase price.
