A bathroom that lives
Bathrooms are being furnished like living spaces: paintings, a chair, decorative lighting, a rug. What was once a purely practical room becomes a place for relaxation.
Furniture like a chest of drawers
Vanity units resemble antique dressers: legs, wooden grain, mouldings, and distinctive handles instead of anonymous carcasses.
Dark earthy colours
Brown, burgundy, olive, and terracotta replace all-white bathrooms. Colour often appears in wall tiles, stone, or on the sink.
One colour everywhere
Colour drenching: the same shade on walls, ceiling, and furniture. The bathroom feels like a cohesive whole.
Box effect
The same material on the floor, walls, and ceiling, often large ceramic slabs. The room feels like a single volume.
Sculptural sinks
Stone, ceramic, and terracotta sinks in interesting shapes become the focal point of the bathroom.
Matte and gloss
Matte surfaces like microcement or clay plaster contrast with glossy accents and strip tiles.
Small formats and patterns
Mosaic, checkerboard, and stripes, where the grout joint becomes part of the design. Traditional laying patterns are also making a comeback.
Wellness at home
A freestanding bath in the middle of the room, larger showers, steam showers, and heated floors extending into the shower.
Mixed metals
Polished nickel alongside aged brass, taps with cross handles, and decorative fittings with character.

How to use trends in your bathroom
A bathroom lasts fifteen to twenty years. Therefore, choose timeless basic surfaces and add trends as accents: one wall, a sink, a tap, or furniture colour. Collections by appearance can be found in the By appearance section, manufacturers in the Manufacturers A–Z list.
