Shower enclosure: what you need to know before choosing
A shower enclosure is a glass screen with doors that encloses the shower – either on a tray or directly on the floor tiles. It is chosen based on the location in the bathroom, shape, type of doors, glass, and where the water will drain. The most common sizes for Slovak bathrooms are square or quarter-circle enclosures measuring 90 × 90 cm, 80 × 80 cm for smaller bathrooms, and 100 × 100 cm or rectangular 120 × 90 cm for larger spaces. If you have more room, consider a walk-in shower without doors.
It also depends on who will be using the shower. For children and seniors, a threshold-free entry is preferable, while in an apartment, a flat tray is more practical, eliminating the need to cut into the floor.
How to choose a shower enclosure in 5 steps
