About the Ecoceramic Bois collection
The Bois collection from Ecoceramic brings a wood-inspired surface to the bathroom in two colour options — Light and Dark. It is a material in the porcelain non rectified variant, which emphasizes a natural look without rectified edges. The texture and tones of this series allow for a warmer impression while maintaining the durability of ceramic tiles, making it suitable for residential bathrooms as well as more heavily used spaces.
What impression does the collection create?
Bois creates the impression of wooden cladding while retaining all the advantages of porcelain tiles. The colour options Light and Dark offer possibilities from a brighter, airy interior to muted, pleasant tones with greater contrast.
The natural surface texture helps soften minimalist or industrial elements in the bathroom and provides a pleasant visual backdrop for furniture and sanitary ceramics.
What type of bathroom is it suitable for?
Wood is suitable for bathrooms where you want to achieve a warm, "homely" look without the risks associated with natural wood — for example, in apartments, frequently used family bathrooms, or guest areas.
Light variants visually enlarge a smaller bathroom, while Dark adds coziness and can be a good choice when combined with light walls and sanitary ware.
Formats, surfaces, and colours
The materials indicate that the collection includes two colour variants: Light and Dark. The material is porcelain and the tiles are non rectified, meaning the edges are not rectified and larger grout joints should be expected compared to rectified elements during installation.
This information will assist in planning the appearance of the grout joints and in selecting the grout that will complete the overall visual.
How to combine it
The light finish pairs well with white sanitary ware, light natural woods, or matte black accessories for contrast. The Dark variant can be complemented with light walls or ceramic wall tiles with a subtle texture to prevent the space from becoming too dark.
When selecting furniture and accessories, consider the colour temperature — warm wood tones harmonise with warmer lights, while cooler tones suit neutral or cool lighting.
Installation and maintenance
Since the tiles are non rectified, plan the width of the grout joints in accordance with the recommendations of the laying company to account for any adhesion or unevenness of the substrate. Larger grout joints will also simplify minor adjustments when laying large-format tiles.
Maintaining porcelain floor tiles is generally uncomplicated — regular cleaning with a mild detergent and a soft cloth will keep the surface free from unnecessary dullness. With darker variants, pay attention to unwanted water and soap streaks that may be more noticeable.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Bois collection suitable for a wet bathroom with underfloor heating?
Porcelain tiles are generally suitable for wet areas and compatible with underfloor heating; however, for specific compatibility and installation procedures, follow the manufacturer's and installation company's guidelines.
What does porcelain non rectified mean?
This term refers to porcelain tiles with uneven edges (non-rectified). When laying, one must account for visible grout joints, which will affect the overall appearance and grouting method.
How to combine the light and dark version in one bathroom?
Use the light version on a larger area (floor or main walls) and the dark as an accent, for example, behind the bathtub or in the shower enclosure. This achieves visual contrast without shrinking the space. Choose faucets and accessories according to the tone — warm natural materials or matte black for a more striking effect.
